State Senator Jeff Van Drew is again renewing his push to get the Route 55 extension into Cape May County. Van Drew spoke to Coastal Broadcasting about the letter he wrote to Gov. Chris Christie. The hope is that Route 55 can finally be extended into Cape May County, which Van Drew believes will create a safer environment for tourists that are coming down the Jersey Shore. A push is happening in Trenton to create a task force to look into the problems preventing the extension and possible ways to fix it.
