Count Senator Jeff Van Drew among those who don’t want to see a change to self serve ban at gas stations. Van Drew released a statement on Monday supporting to continue the ban. Among the comments Van Drew made was “We shouldn’t roll back a law for which residents have time and again vocally expressed their support. But this is not just about convenience. It is about protecting seniors, those with physical disabilities and residents who are struggling to make ends meet.” Some lawmakers are considering to push for a change to the self serve ban, but leadership like Senate President Steve Sweeney and Gov. Chris Christie have spoken out against it in the past.
