A gaming summit is set to be held on Aug. 1. The summit will be used to review the findings that the commission set up by Gov. Chris Christie released. Christie announced a number of those issues during his two press conferences recently, which included a state-takeover of the casino district in Atlantic City. State Senator Jeff Van Drew told Coastal Broadcasting that he hopes this summit will help make the necessary headway to begin to move on a number of these proposals. Waiting is not going to help Atlantic City anymore and something needs to be done sooner rather than later.
