We got an early bout in the November legislative election for the 1st District. Senator Jeff Van Drew responded to a statement by the two Republicans running for assembly that he is “exploiting” veterans by choosing an all-veteran team to run for Assembly. Van Drew called the attack “disgusting” and said the veterans have the same right as everyone else to run for office. The senator also credited Assemblyman Bob Andrejczak and Bruce Land who are running as Democrats for assembly as leaders noted Andrejczak’s ability to get billed passed in his short time in Trenton.
