State Senator Jeff Van Drew wants something in return for signing off on a Gov. Chris Christie nomination. Van Drew has said that if Christie will renominate Robert Taylor as Cape May County prosecutor, then he will sign off on U.S. Marshal James Plousis being added as the Parole Board chairman. Former Gov. Jon Corzine renominated Taylor prior to leaving office, but decided to pull that nomination just weeks later. Currently, Taylor is working as a holdover. Senator’s are given courtesy to sign off on nominees from their district.
