VAN DREW AND ANDRZEJCZAK PEN LETTER FOR ROUTE 55 EXTENSION

Two local lawmakers are making another push for the extension of Route 55 into Cape May County. A letter was written by Senator Jeff Van Drew and Assemblyman Bob Andrzejczak asking for reconsideration of the project to Transportation Commissioner Jamie Fox. One of the primary reasons the project hasn’t happened is environmental with unique species in that area. The letter addresses the fact that Cape May County is one of the most dangerous places in the event of an evacuation from a storm.
