USDA CITES VINELAND FARM FOR NOT PAYING FOR PRODUCE

A Vineland farm is going to be restricted in its operation. The U.S. Department of Agriculture cited Del Monte for failure to pay for over $700,000 in produce. The company failed to make payment to 19 produce sellers in the amount of $703,632 from October 2011 through July 2012. The company’s sole principal, Daniel Del Monte, may not be employed by or affiliated with any PACA licensee until Aug. 16, 2014.
