Officials in Upper Township are considering the installation of security cameras at their public works yard in Tuckahoe, to catch illegal dumpers. The Upper Township Gazette reports that there have been several cases of illegal dumping of construction debris and paint cans at the facility, designed for residential trash collection. The new security cameras would also be placed at other public buildings and recreation areas throughout the township, to discourage vandalism. The security camera discussion will be held by committee members at a closed session on Monday, Sept. 9th.
