UPPER TOWNSHIP INTRODUCES BUDGET WITH 9.3 CENT TAX RATE

It appears Upper Township is finally going to have a local purpose tax. A budget was introduced on Monday with a 9.3 cent tax rate. Committeeman Frank Conrad said that money used to be made up by surplus money, which is no longer available. Conrad said he believes any tax increases in the future will be minimal and should not impact residents that much year-to-year. The spending plan came in at $11.3 million.
