An agreement has been reached between the public works employees and Upper Township. Coastal Broadcasting has learned that the agreement has been signed off for a one-year contract, that includes a 1.1 percent raise. Upper Township Mayor Richard Palombo told Coastal Broadcasting that 1.1 percent will be the raise used for all township employees this year. Palombo credited the union for understanding the township’s financial situation and hopes the township is in a better financial situation next year when negotiating with the union.
