The Upper Township Committee has to decide which roads it needs to fix, as they prepare to undertake a repaving project. The Upper Township Gazette reports that the Committee approved $1.6 million of capital bonds to repave 6.2 miles of local roads. However, several roads were found to need reconstruction, which would increase the costs of repair. The Committee would have to remove streets from the repaving list to stay under budget, but are reluctant to do so. Officials are negotiating with New Jersey American Water to share the costs of repaving after water pipe installation earlier in the year.
