The Upper Township Committee meets Monday night and is expected to authorize an agreement with the county of Cape May for heavy equipment fleet maintenance. The county has negotiated agreements with Lower Township, Avalon, and Upper Township for the maintenance of its heavy equipment fleet as a way to reduce costs. The three communities will be paid a stipend to perform this type of work for the county. The township committee is also expected to enter into an agreement with Dr. Stewart Farrell for shoreline monitoring and consulting services for beach-related issues. A budget workshop meeting will preceed the meeting, starting at 6:30pm.
