A 38 year-old woman was killed Tuesday morning when her car was struck from behind on the Northbound Garden State Parkway. Dawn Gonzalez of Egg Harbor Township was driving her Honda in the center lane, near mile marker 38 when the car stopped, according to N.J. State Police. Thomas Zerbo, 22, of Ocean City smashed into the rear of her car and it caught fire. Gonzalez was pulled from the vehicle by five other motorists, but was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. No charges have been filed and the accident is under investigation.
