On December 22, 2010, the Middle Twp Police Dept. handled a serious head-on motor vehicle crash with injuries that occurred on the State Hwy 47 at approximately milepost 15.8 in Goshen section of the township.
The driver of the Ford Mustang, Casimir Rupinski age 38, along with his passenger Rebecca Alexander, age 38 both from the Lower Township area were flown to Atlantic Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the Mercedes Benz, Larry Hummel, from the Townbank section of Lower Township was also flown Atlantic Regional Medical Center for sever leg injuries.
Agencies that assisted with the investigation consist of: Goshen Fire Dept., Court House Fire Dept., Dennisville Fire Dept., Green Creek Fire Dept., Fire Police, Medic 9, Court House Rescue, Dennis Township Rescue.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by Officer Steve Novsak of the Middle Township Police Department.
