Police have released the details regarding Thursday’s Amber Alert. Ronald Ross, the boy’s father and Cassidy Michaela Purdy, the boy’s mother were meeting at Ruby Tuesday’s for visitation. When Ross stepped out to smoke a cigarette, Purdy took the child, Mason Ross, and left. An Amber Alert was later registered because Purdy did not have custody rights to the child. An investigation found that the two were on a Cape May-Lewes Ferry heading to Delaware. Police there were notified and the child was found with the mother. Purdy was charged and placed in a Delaware jail, until extradition could take place to New Jersey.
