Six people, including two firefighters were sent to area hospitals following the collision of an ambulance and a van in Ventnor on Wednesday. The accident occurred just after 11am when a minivan struck the Ventnor City Fire Department ambulance near the intersection of Atlantic and Marion Avenues. The ambulance was returning to the station with no patient onboard, and struck a house after being hit by the van. Four passengers in the van were taken to the hospital and no names were released. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
