UPDATE: MACHETE VICTIM & ATTACKER REMAIN IN HOSPITAL

Two weeks after a 41 year-old Vineland woman was attacked with a machete, both victim and attacker remain in the hospital. Authorities have not disclosed any new information in the case and will not comment on a motive. Accused attacker Eugenio Morales, 43, of Vineland was shot by police while resisting arrest. He allegedly attacked the officers with a box cutter. The victim of the machete attack suffered life-threatening injuries to her face, head, body and hands.
