UPDATE: FAMILY OF THREE DISPLACED BY WHITESBORO FIRE

A couple and their child safely escaped a house fire on Saturday night in Whitesboro but their home was extensively damaged. The Cape May County Herald reports that the fire occurred in the 900 block of Pennsylvania at about 6:40 p.m. and no injuries were reported. Fire companies from Erma, Audubon Park and Green Creek provided assistance to the Rio Grande squad, also battling the cold temperature of 18 degrees. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Cape May County Fire Marshal.
