UPDATE: BODY TAKEN FROM HO– USE AS STAND OFF COMES TO CLOSE

A stand off between an armed man and Hammonton police has drawn to a close. The Press of Atlantic City says that a body has been taken from the house. The man had allegedly branished a firearm at an emergency worker. The report goes on to say that the stand off had been going on since 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The mother is reported to have left the home about an hour after the incident began. The initial weapon brandishing is said to have taken place in Deptford.
