Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor and Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner have released the identity of two bodies that were discovered in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township on Wednesday in a wooded area. The deceased have been identified as John Clohessy, a 53 year-old male and Carrie Clohessy, a 41 year-old female. Both individuals were homeless at the time of their deaths. An autopsy was performed on both bodies on Friday by the Southern Region Medical Examiner’s Office and the preliminary report indicates that there were no signs of trauma to either body and the final report is waiting on toxicology results. Prosecutor Taylor and Chief Leusner report that this is an on-going investigation by the Major Crimes Unit of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Middle Township Police Department.
