The unemployment rate in New Jersey ticked higher in July to 9.7 percent. Higher than initially estimated job loss took place in June as well, according to revised numbers by the state. The private sector has lost a little less than 2,000 jobs total since December. Companies are unwilling so far to hire back full-time employees in the current economy.
