A pair of union contracts have gotten a one year extension. The Press of Atlantic City reports that AFSCME Local 3779 and Teamsters Local 676 have extended their contract for one year at a zero increase and will pay 11.5 percent of their salary towards their health benefits. The township reportedly wants all of the contracts to be negotiated in the same year so everyone can be treated the same. Police contracts are among those that will be looked at soon, as they expire at the end of this year.
