TWO RETIRE, TWO PROMOTED IN MIDDLE POLICE DEPARTMENT

A pair of long serving police officers have officially retired the Middle Township Police force. Sgt. Rich McHale and Sgt. Mark DeVico retired as of Dec. 31. Bob Sheppard and Doug Osmundsen are both being promoted as a result. Police Chief Christopher Leusner credited McHale and DeVico’s for being not only good police officers, but great members of the community. He called both a “class act.” Leusner also said that Sheppard and Osmundsen bring a lot of experience to their jobs and will do great in their new roles.
