The Marine Mammal Stranding Center responded to two more sea creatures in distress over the weekend, after a dead whale washed up on a Sea Isle City beach on Friday. Bob Scholekopf, Founding Director of the MMSC, said his staff responded to a dolphin stranding in Lavalette and a deceased sea turtle in Love Ladies on Saturday. The dolphin died as they were responding and has been sent to a lab to try to determine why. Schoelkopf said the turtle died after sustaining injuries from being hit by a boat.
