Two of the men involved in the failed attempt to sink a fishing boat for insurance money were sentenced Tuesday in federal court. Christopher Martin of Wildwood, and Erik James of Middle Township, both 40 years-old, each recieved a 30-month prison term. The men were part of an insurance fraud sceme for $400,000 when they attempted to sink the Alexander II off Cape May in August of 2009. The boat’s owner, Scott Tran of Cherry Hill, pled guilty to the same charges in November.
