The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced the indictment of two local men for the offense of Strict Liability for Drug-Induced Death, a crime of the 1st degree. Indicted were Brian Duley, 30-years-old, of the Villas section of Lower Township and Michael Glinecke, 20-years-old, of North Cape May. Both men distributed heroin to victims who died using the drug. Dudley was indicted in connection with the overdose death of 51 year-old George Letzgus of the Villas, in October of 2014. Glinecke was charged in connection with the overdose death of 20 year-old Charles Hackett III of North Cape May in early March of 2015. Both men are being held in the Cape May County Jail, on bail of $200,000 for Dudley and $100,000 for Glinecke. Prosecutor Robert Taylor says that individuals found guilty of the crime of Strict Liability for a Drug-Induced Death may be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 10-20 years in New Jersey State Prison and are subject to the No Early Release Act.
