Two firefighters were injured while fighting a fire in Middle Township last weekend. Jake Loefflad, of the Stone Harbor Fire Department, slipped off a ladder and fell to the ground injuring his back and ribs. Loefflad was transported to the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division. Randy Wolford, of the Court House Fire Department, twisted his ankle during the fire and was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center. Both firefighters have since been released. The incident took place at 15 West 4th Avenue in the Mayville section of the Township.
