TWO HEROIN OVERDOSES LEAD TO INDICTMENTS

Two Cape May County overdose deaths resulted in indictments being handed down. Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor announced that Robery Lunzy of Wildwood was charged with two counts of drug inducing death, two counts of endangering an injured victim, and related offenses. Also indicted was Kevin Clancy of Wildwood for one count of drug induced death, and one county of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, among other offenses. Sharron Knapp was also indicted for two counts of endangering an injured victim. Two individuals died as a result of ingestion of heroin distributed by Luzny on both May 16, 2014 and September 19, 2014. Clancy also distributed heroin resulting in the drug induced death of one of those persons on May 16, 2014. Luzny and Knapp were been aware of both overdoses, but failed to render proper aid or call for help for a significant amount of time, according to the release.
