The Marine Mammal Standing Center in Brigantine was called to Cape May County late Sunday afternoon, as two common dolphins were found dead in separate locations. One dolphin was found trapped underneath a dock in a lagoon on Bay Avenue in Ocean City. The other was found washed up on the beach in the Villas. Animal autopsies, called necropsies, will be performed today on the two dolphins in Kennet Spare, Pa. Officials will determine what the dolphins had been eating, and if they had any human interaction that could have caused injuries.
