
Atlantic County Prosecutor Ted Housel
Two men were charged on Wednesday for drug and weapons possesion. Eric Eaton, 23, of Hamilton Township, and Bryant Nelson Jr., 24, of Atlantic City, were arrested as a result of a four-month-long investigation, during which Eaton and Nelson allegedly sold heroin to undercover operatives. The investigation led to the seizure of approximately 550 bags of heroin. Eaton and Nelson were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, distribution of heroin in a quantity less than 1⁄2 ounce, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school zone, (the Pleasantville Charter School) and distribution of drugs within 500 feet of a public zone, (the Atlantic County Bike Path). Superior Court Judge Mark Sandson authorized warrants for Eaton and Nelson and set their bails at $75,000 cash.
A further investigation of their residence led to additional charges were authorized against the two men. Eaton was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession within 500 of a public zone, (the Atlantic County Bike Path), and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $100,000 cash bail. Bryant was charged with Possession of Heroin with intent to distribute, and possession within 500 of a public zone, (Atlantic County Bike Path). He was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $75,000 cash bail,
