The population at the Cape May County Zoo has increased by two. A bison and giraffe were both born in the past three weeks and will be formally introduced to the public next Wednesday, September 25th. The giraffe was born on Sept. 2nd at an estimated 150 pounds and is the first born at the zoo in 12 years. She joins a herd of three females and one male giraffe in the Savanna area of the Cape May County Zoo. A female bison calf was born on Aug. 29th from parents who came to the zoo in 2010 from Six Flags Great Adventure.
