Several South Jersey high schools are opening for the new year before the Labor Day Weekend, to insure they can complete their 180 days before June 30th in case of bad weather. Students at Absegami and Cedar Creek High Schools returned to class on Tuesday. Woodbine opens on Wednesday for a half-day and Thursday will be the first day for Wildwood schools and the Atlantic Community Charter School. Most schools will be opening for the new year on Tuesday, September 6th.
