Two men were arrested Monday afternoon and charged with weapons offenses after a handgun was found in their car. Atlantic City Police Detective Anthony Abrams stopped a vehicle that ran a stop sign at Massachusetts and Melrose Avenues and found the driver, 27 year-old Yarquin Muhammad of Pleasantville, driving with a suspended license. Abrams also arrested the passenger, 22 year-old James Belfor of Pleasantville, who gave a fake name to the detective. Police report that this was the third handgun recovered by Detective Abrams in the past week.
