The Somers Point Police Department investigated a theft of a commercial air conditioning unit from a business located on New Road in Somers Point from Feb. 11. An investigation of the $2,500.00 unit led to the arrest of Daniel Colon, 19 years old from Ocean City, NJ and his girlfriend Nicole Barbera, 18 years old also from Ocean City, NJ. During the course of the investigation the pick up truck used to transport the air conditioning unit was located in Ocean City with the unit still on the back. Both were charged with theft and receiving stolen property and bail was set at $5,000.00 cash.
