TUSKEGEE AIRMAN FROM NEW JERSEY, CALVIN SPANN, 90

A New Jersey man who flew 26 missions over Nazi Germany as a member of the Tuskegee Airman has died.  Calvin Spann passed away in Texas on Sunday.  Spann was raised in Rutherford, New Jersey, and was a World War II combat pilot recognized for his bravery.  Spann said he watched airplanes taking off from Teterboro Airport and that motivated him to be a military pilot.
