After almost 15 months of preparation, a project to replace the Tuckahoe River Bridge on Route 50 is scheduled to take place from September to May of next year. Representatives from NJDOT and the contractor, South State, Inc., said the span could be completely closed for nine months while repairs are being made. The contractor has proposed building a temporary walking bridge that would also accommodate ATV’s, to be used by the Tuckahoe Volunteer Fire Company to respond to fire calls in Corbin City.
