TROUT STOCKING BEGINS IN NEW JERSEY

Freshwater trout season begins April 9th in New Jersey. On Tuesday, the NJ Division of Fish and Game was seen stocking local lakes and streams in South Jersey with brown, brook and rainbow trout, from the Pequest Trout Hatchery. Plans to stock the lake at the Villas Wildlife Management Area (formerly Ponderlodge) were postponed. The state will wait for buildings at the site to be demolished before the lake can be stocked.
