TRASH TRUCK DEBATE CONTINUES IN UPPER TOWNSHIP

Upper Township officials have delayed a decision on the purchase of two new automated side-loading trash trucks. The Upper Township Gazette reports that the township has already spent over $55o,ooo to purchase trash carts for local residents, to be used with the new side-loading trucks. However, some discussion still persists to purchase traditional rear-loading trucks. Officials said a contract for the trucks could be approved at the township’s next meeting.
