The summer tourists were down this Memorial Day weekend. The entire Jersey Shore was mobbed with good weather in the forecast. On some areas of the Garden State Parkway, 30 mile backups were reported. Traffic throughout Cape May County has been slow the entire weekend with many towns reporting above average Memorial Day weekends. Prior t the weekend, AAA Mid-Atlantic reported there would be an increase in traffic to the Jersey Shore.
