TOWNSEND’S INLET BRIDGE TO OPEN BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON

This time, they mean it.  County officials announced that the Townsend’s Inlet Bridge that connects Avalon to Sea Isle City will be open no later than Friday afternoon at 3pm.  The bridge has undergone major repairs during the winter and spring, and the project has been beset with delays.  The maintenance repairs on the bridge have experienced major delays, which resulted in a few missed deadlines.  The bridge is expected to be open for the entire summer, without interruption.
