TOURISM DOLLARS UP SIGNIFICANTLY AGAIN IN NEW JERSEY IN 2016

Yet another significant increase in regional and statewide tourism in 2016.  New figures released on Thursday shows that the Garden State generated $44.1 billion in tourism revenue last year, which is an increase of three percent over the prior year.  Tourism accounts for one out of every ten jobs in New Jersey.  Here in Cape May County, tourism revenue was up by five percent over the prior year, setting an all time record.
