Hundreds of people will take off their winter coats and put on their swimsuits for a dip in the ocean on Saturday. The annual Wildwood Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics of New Jersey will step off on the beach at 1pm behind the Wildwoods Convention Center. More than a quarter of a million dollars was raised for Special Olympics last year that helped over 20,000 athletes. Temperatures are expected to be below 40 degrees for Saturday’s dip in the ocean.
