A state board recommended three plans to allow gambling in upstate New York. The casinos would provide additional competition for Atlantic City. The plans call for gaming and boutique casinos to be built along with additional amenities. The positive news is the board could have opted for casinos located closer to New York City but chose not to in this round of approvals.
