The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrest of three juveniles on third and fourth degree crimes involving threats via social media in two separate incidents. On Tuesday a concerned parent notified the Cape May County Technical School that two students were using social media to threaten a third student. The follow up investigation found that two juveniles conspired to take a photo depicting one of them with a handgun and two rifles and then sending the photo over Snapchat to a fellow student with a threatening caption. In another incident on Monday, a student from the Richard Teitelman Middle School was involved in posting a picture on Snapchat and Facebook with a caption that made reference to shooting a school. The juvenile was later identified and later charged with False Public Alarm.
