Three inmates and two civilians have been charged with the illegal distribution of drugs at the county jail. County officials announced that they have filed charges after learning back in February that contraband identified as Suboxone was being channeled into the Cape May County Jail via mail sent to inmates. The pills were being dissolved into a paste and panted into a children’s coloring book page. Sheriff Gary Schaffer says excellent investigative law enforcement work led to the charges and warrants being issued. Among those charged were three inmates, identified as Zachary Hirsch, Charles Markman, and Paul Scipione. Debbie Longo of West Wildwood was charged in connection with the case. Authorities are still looking for a fifth suspect, identified as Katelyn Mosebach of Trevose, PA.
