President Barack Obama was in New Jersey this week, and right there was Cape May County Freeholder Director Gerald Thornton. Thornton spoke with 987 The Coast about his experience, saying it was great to be invited up. Thornton is on a task force assembled by Obama’s team to look at recovery efforts following Hurricane Sandy. Thornton noted that the publicity from Obama’s visit was worth it alone for the state to showcase the work that has been done to repair following Sandy.
