If you know someone is on the road, you better think twice before you text them. A state appeals court has ruled that the person sending the text in that instance can be held partially liable for an accident. The ruling revolves around a 2009 accident in Morris County when a couple lost both of theirs legs when their motorcycle was hit by a teen who was texting and driving. While the person isn’t wholly responsible, they can share in the burden according to the court.
