THE SNAKE CAUSED THE POWER OUTAGE..NO, REALLY

A snake caused a power outage in southern Cape May County on Thursday morning.  Yes, a snake.  Atlantic City Electric says that a snake caused a transformer at the Rio Grande substation to turn off, which caused an hour-long outage for nearly 8,000 customers.  There was a lightning storm in the area at the time of the outage, but the snake was the responsible party.
