The Cape May County Freeholders held a luncheon on Thursday to honor more than 150 senior volunteers for their many hours of community service. It’s the 39th Anniversary of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), a volunteer organization that helps county residents prepare tax returns, work in the hospital and help the Red Cross. In 2012 County RSVP members contributed a combined total of 49,263 hours of community service in Cape May County.
