TEACHERS MAY NEED TO RAISE THEIR GRADES TO TEACH IN NEW JERSEY

The state is further considering a plan that would require teachers in the state to have a higher GPA. The state Education Department wants school districts to send them comment on the proposal. It would require a 3.0 grade-point average versus a 2.5 GPA. A number of other states have already taken this step up in GPA. Any change wouldn’t go into effect until 2015.
